Competitive opportunities for students interested in advancing their dance skills. All students in the Danz Ed Project are invited to join the Jr. Danz Company outside of the school, which prepares the students to compete and perform at more advance levels through additional performance opportunities and competitions.
The Danz Ed Project was developed to meet the needs of learning institutions that want to provide a comprehensive educational experience for their students. The project provides an opportunity for students to work with local dance professionals who will assist students in developing crucial critical thinking skills, enhancing self-esteem and motivation, as well as developing respectful social skills with peers and adults.
Dance education should be a part of the curriculum in schools for several reasons. Dance is a fundamental and universal human activity. It provides students with a new understanding of self, culture, history, kinesthetic communication, and expression in the present day world. Although dance us usually developed as an art program, it is recognized by many institutions as a means of improving physical, mental, and emotional intelligence.
